SouthWest USA 2008 - part 2/3
On the road to Canyonlands, our filmmaker of course tinkered constantly, dashboard cameras, snap here snap there, light is not good at this time... the Caliber got us there, but we were no fans of this temperamental cross over.
The tripod scratched the dashboard - I was none too pleased, even if it was a rental!
Attempting some more levitation
This place is weird! Slick rock, spires, lots to see, and too many things to climb.
In over 30 years, I had NEVER tossed refuse other than into dust bins - while munching lunch, the wind took this bag from me, I ran after it and found it far below - spotless record yet!
A sand crawler I tell you!
On the drive down to Canyonlands, near crossing lake Mead, Mark spotted a crack in a wall which turned out to be a ancient dwelling - of course he had to climb it!
I got a little mad on a barren road side runway up on the cliff overlooking lake Mead. I am a pilot after all!
Mark required some quality time with his script writing book (filmmaker!) - so I went off alone for an extra 10 mile hiking loop.
